THREE young men from Salobreña have been arrested by the Guardia Civil as the alleged perpetrators of 16 burglaries in homes across the town.
The investigation began after the owners of a property in Salobreña reported their home had been subject to a robbery on September 28 while they were sleeping. The family reported to have lost a laptop, a tablet device and two iPhones.
On the same day, the Guardia Civil received three more official reports for similar incidents in another three properties of the same residential complex.
A few days later, authorities were able to find that one of the tablet devices had been found in a second-hand shop in Almuñecar. With the shop’s owner, they were able to find one of the suspects, which led to the detention of the other two.
In several searches, officers retrieved most of the stolen objects and have charged the suspects in connection with at least 14 robbery crimes in the area of Salobreña, which occurred over the past 12 months.
