LA CAMPANA: A hidden delight of a restaurant in Quesada
FOR a great dining experience in intimate and friendly surroundings, book La Campana now.
This hidden delight of a restaurant, nestled just off the main high street in Quesada, has just announced its special Christmas Day and Boxing Day all-inclusive menu and, as they are only taking 36 bookings for each day, places are limited. For €45, the menu includes a special Christmas cocktail and live music on both December 25 and 26.
There is a three-course menu to choose from with starters including Hungarian fish soup; stuffed cabbage with pork stew; smoked salmon salad with goat cheese and fresh tomato and mozzarella. For the main course, diners will have a choice of a full traditional turkey dinner; fish rolls with vegetable stuffing; grilled salmon fillet; roast lamb shank or salmon lasagne. Desserts are banana split; ‘Rákóczi’ a cottage cheese tart and ‘Somlói’ a sponge cake with vanilla pudding and liquor. Drinks are also included in the price.
The menu, created by owner Laszlo Miklosi is a mix of international flavours and cuisine, with something to suit everyone’s taste and is a reflection of their daily menu which combines, Spanish, Hungarian, British and French cuisine. If you want to try La Campana; home of the goulash, for yourself before the festivities begin, La Campana is open daily from midday.
A three-course menu del dia offers excellent value for money at €8.50 and don’t forget happy hour on cocktails from 12-4pm where you can sit back on one of the terraces and enjoy a cocktail or two for just €3.50.
