Trollhattan in Sweden
A MASKED man wielding a sword has killed a teacher and injured four students at a Swedish school before being shot by police on Wednesday morning.
Initial reports from the attack at the Kronan school in Trollhattan near Gothenburg city indicate that two students, aged 11 and 15, have been seriously injured.
Police said there was “considerable confusion” at the school which has 400 students.
The head of communications at the NAL hospital said, “Some of them have serious injuries and are being operated on. One person is deceased at the scene.”
Pre-school and high school students attend the school and a number were seen running out of the building during the chaos.
The attacker is being treated for gunshot wounds in the same hospital.
