Chris Froome the first man to cycle through the Eurotunnel.
SIR Chris Froome, double winner of the Tour de France, arrived in Mallorca with the Sky professional cycling team which included two new members, Mikel Landa and Michal Kwiatkowski, and by December 7 they were on the road and practising.
Housed in the Hotel Vanity Golf in Puerto Alcudia until December 20 the well-financed team is preparing for a competitive 2016. It is reported that after a period of time at home for Christmas and the New Year, they will return to Mallorca to finalise their preparations.
The roads and climate of Mallorca are obviously very conducive to cycling as the Belgian Lotto-Soudalteam has also been training there.
