Pilot of helicopter dies in crash in Parres

THE sad news has been released by Principality Emergency Service (SEPA) in Asturias, Spain that the pilot of one their helicopters, which had been sent to help extinguish a fire in La Roza, Parres on December 23, died when the helicopter crashed, although there is no information as to the reason for the crash.

A medical helicopter was dispatched to the site of the crash but after landing, the crew reported that the pilot and only occupant had died and officers of the Guardia Civil who were called to the scene arranged for the correct paper work to be produced in order to allow the body of the experienced pilot to be removed.
