British drivers face dangerous conditions.
AS ARCTIC conditions swept into Britain last week, parts of Spain also witnessed plummeting temperatures, with cities Burgos and Soria reporting temperatures as low as 3°.
Over the weekend of January 16 and 17 snowfall was reported in Spain´s northern provinces and in the southeast of the country, while parts of the Pyrenees and the Balearic Islands also experienced 90km/h winds. Spain´s national weather service, Aemet, warned that heavy waves would hit the island of Menorca and the Mediterranean coast.
Over the coming week, Spain´s chilly temperatures are set to rise slightly, but Britons face another week of severe weather warnings and dangerous driving conditions in sub-zero temperatures, as a weeks´ worth of heavy snowfall hardens to ice.
