Another Spanish trespasser

DESPITE the fact that Spanish interim Foreign Minister Margallo has sided with Britain over the proposed renegotiation of the terms of membership with the EU, his government still blatantly adopts an antagonistic position with regards to Gibraltar and its territorial waters.

The Spanish navy patrol boat Vigia cruised into local waters on February 18 and despite numerous communications from an escorting Royal Navy vessel sailed past Europa point before returning to Spanish waters.

The Convent, official residence of the Governor of Gibraltar intends to make a formal protest via the British Government about this latest event.
