AN operation codenamed ‘ARRICAS’ has resulted in the arrest of nine members of an organised gang who are suspected of committing a total of 115 robberies in the province of Huesca, Aragon, since September 2015.
Among the effects recovered during the arrests were two large caliber rifles and 350 rounds of ammunition.
The group targeted municipal facilities such as nurseries, sports grounds and play areas, and the detainees are also accused of damage to public property.
Other items seized by police included sport equipment, tools, flashlights, and a metal detector.
