TRAGEDY: Shaun and fiance Kiri.

A 31-YEAR-OLD father of three, from Stretford, has died in Magaluf, just hours after arriving to Mallorca for his stag do.

Shaun Ennis and a 17-strong group of friends and relatives arrived to the resort just after midnight on June 10 and immediately hit the local bars, but within just a few hours the groom-to-be knocked on his brother-in-law’s hotel room complaining that he felt unwell, and shortly after went into convulsions.

His father Brian, 57, gave him the kiss of life, but he was unable to revive his son, who tragically lost his life at the scene, with an investigation into cause of death now underway.

Brian told the Manchester Evening News: “It was our first night, we only got there around midnight and went out straight away.

“There were 18 of us and everyone was really excited and looking forward to three days away.

“It was in the early hours, around 6am, Shaun knocked on his future brother-in-law’s room and said he didn’t feel well. He went onto the balcony and started convulsing. Mikey called me in and I tried to save him, tried to give him the kiss of life, the paramedics tried too but it was too late.”

Mr Ennis had been due to marry long-term partner Kiri Robson on July 23, and his sister Toni has launched a bid to raise money in order to transport his body back to the UK, which is expected to cost thousands.

The crowdfunding campaign has already raised €10,700 of the €12,500 target, and can be accessed here.
