FATAL FLOODS: Rivers have burst their banks throughout the coast.
A SECOND person has died as a result of the extensive flooding in southern Spain after his car was swept away by a flash flood.
The victim was an employee of the electrical company Melesur who had been repairing a broken transformer in the Zabal district of La Linea de la Concepcion, with his vehicle engulfed by water flowing from a nearby canal.
His co-workers were also in the car but managed to escape.
The mayor of the Cadiz town has declared three days of official mourning in the wake of the tragedy, while schools in la Linea and Los Barrios will be closed all day on Monday, December 5.
