Carrie Fisher at book signing
STAR WARS actress Carrie Fisher is in intensive care after suffering a serious heart attack on a London-Los Angeles flight.
The 60-year-old screen legend is in the ICU of a California hospital after firefighters rushed to LAX airport to provide emergency care as soon as her United Airlines flight landed on December 23.
Eyewitnesses on the flight have said that the actress, beloved by millions for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the sci-fi trilogy, was not breathing for ten minutes and received CPR right up until landing.
The latest reports suggest that Fisher, who was in the UK filming TV comedy Catastrophe, is now in a stable medical condition. Reporters are camped outside the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where she is believed to be receiving treatment.
