A NATIONAL POLICE operation has resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old man who was carrying almost a kilo of cocaine inside a cheese.
The man was detained on account of behaving “suspiciously” after being spotted by a police patrol on a street in the city of Cordoba.
He was carrying a number of tablets comprising different substances which can be used to fabricate narcotics, plus a large cheese wrapped in clingfilm.
Officers decided to open up the cheese due to the detainee’s continued nervous attitude, and were stunned to discover 968 grams of cocaine inside.
They later tweeted their surprise, confirming that it is the first time that they have found drugs stashed inside a cheese.
