Divers recovering the body.
THE body of a man has been recovered from the Teulada/Moraira water treatment plant.
The 36-year-old worker’s body was retrieved from the water by members of the Underwater Activities Group of the Armed Institute (GEAS).
The Calpe Guardia Civil are leading the investigation into the Spanish-Columbian national’s death although preliminary reports suggest that it was a tragic accident. A post mortem is expected to confirm this.
The deceased, who had worked at the plant for 13 years, had been missing for a day before the rescuers were able to retrieve his body.
