New car park in Motril

THANKS to the release of funds amounting to €57,000, an empty plot owned by the Motril Council, situated between Calle Melaza and Calle Cañadu, will be converted into a much needed municipal car park for local residents.

Expected to take about two months to complete, the work will not just concentrate on making another tarmac jungle but will include a small green area for local people to enjoy.

The decision to undertake this work was made following complaints from people in the area who found the derelict site unpleasant, with weeds growing and dust blowing around when it was windy so this change of use should be welcomed locally.
