Live marriage proposal on Eurovision semi-final as Ireland crashes out

MACEDONIA’S Eurovision entrant was surprised with a marriage proposal during the semi-final in Kiev.

Jana Burceska, who revealed she was pregnant during a live interview in the voting stages, was elated when father of her child, Alexander, dropped to one knee.

“I was waiting for the right moment. I love you very much. Would you marry me?” he said.

A shocked Jana squeaked: “Yes!” with the audience erupting into huge cheers as Alexander presented her with a ring.

Not all left Kiev with a smile on their face, as Ireland failed to qualify for the Eurovision final for the fourth year running.

Brendan Murray was unable to impress with his ballad ‘Dying to Try.’
