WIMBLEDON 2017: Federer strolls to victory
ROGER FEDERER, born on the eighth day of the eighth month in ’81 is the first man to win eight Wimbledon titles.
An injured Marin Cilic was beaten in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, 6-4.
Cilic appeared to be struggling physically during the early stages of the second set and took a medical timeout for treatment to his left foot before walking out to start the third.
Federer maintained his intensity and quality throughout to wrap up victory in one hour and 41 minutes, a result that earns the Swiss his 19th Grand Slam singles title.
