Man, who allegedly shot himself in the leg on the Costa del Sol, is arrested

A 30-year-old man who had allegedly been shot and wounded on Monday morning outside a nightclub in Puerto Banus, has been arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.

According to initial reports, the man’s left leg was fired at by an unknown shooter.

However, the latest information given by the police indicates that the man actually shot himself by accident whilst carrying the gun in his pocket.

The man has since been arrested for being in possession of an illegal weapon.

Emergency services were notified at 6.05 am on Monday of the injured individual, who was at Kube nightclub’s doorstep.

Spanish press claimed the man was moved to the Malaga Clinical Hospital for evaluation.

After a few hours, once out of danger, he was transferred to the local hospital in Marbella.
