COLLABORATION: The TWINGO comes with Le Coq Sportif design features
FRENCH car maker Renault has launched the latest limited run of the TWINGO model, with the company having teamed up with Le Coq Sportif to give it a sporty feel.
The TWINGO comes fully equipped with high-end features including the company’s EASY LINK 7 multimedia system, automatic air conditioning and a parking assistant.
It also features rain and luminosity sensors and a reversing camera as part of the parking system, the company said.
Renault said the car was designed to easily weave its way through city streets and urban roads.
“The New Renault TWINGO remains an unequal partner for urban adventures,” the company said.
Renault said the TWINGO’s red, white and blue colour scheme was part of what gave the car its “chic, sporty-French” look. The car also bears the Le Coq Sportif logo on the right side of its exterior.
The interior continues the sporty theme with Le Coq Sportif branding on the door sills, floor mats, dashboard and gearstick. The latter features ‘TWINGO by Le Coq Sportif’ engraved on an aluminium plate.
The latest model of the TWINGO is available with either the SCe 75 or TCe 95 engine. Buyers can also choose between a manual or automatic clutch, the latter of which combines responsiveness, smooth operation and reduced fuel consumption.
Renault said it chose to partner with Le Coq Sportif because of the two’s shared outlook for their products.
“A taste for competition and commitment to the excellence and quality of our products: Renault and Le Coq Sportif share the same values.
“This partnership, initiated during Formula 1, has been extended and is now taking the form of a car with a singular and elegant design,” Renault said.
