FOUR German men have been arrested as they were about to board a flight at Palma’s Son Sant Joan airport accused of the rape of a compatriot. They are alleged to have assaulted the 18-year-old woman at a hotel in a Cala Rajada hotel room and are being held in custody in Arta. Police say they had met the teenager while on a night out, and after a chat she agreed to go back to their hotel. Once there two of the men are alleged to have insisted on having sex with her despite her opposition. The other two men are said to have videotaped the incident. Once the victim was able to leave the hotel, she immediately filed a complaint with the Guardia Civil for the alleged gang rape she suffered. At around 4am on Thursday (July 4) a doctor certified she had injuries compatible with rape. Fearing the suspects may have been about to leave the island, Guardia Civil put a watch on the airport and made the arrests.
