FIND: Police investigate mummified foetus found on plane. Credit: Facebook @FotosPorMadrid
POLICE are investigating to see if a ‘mummified’ foetus found in the toilet of a plane is that of a human or a monkey.
The grim find was made during a routine police search shortly after a flight from Cuba arrived at Madrid-Barajas airport.
The foetus was wrapped in a cloth and in a box next to the paper towels container.
It was taken to Madrid’s Forensic Anatomical Institute for a post mortem examination, with Guardia Civil waiting for results despite the discovery being made on July 3.
Officers have questioned the aircrew, with none indicating any knowledge of the find. Guardia Civil are also questioning the flight’s passengers.
