Grizzly find in Jaen home

GUARDIA Civil have launched an investigation after local police found the badly decomposed bodies of a middle-aged couple in their home in La Carolina in Jaen on Tuesday evening.

The grizzly find followed neighbours’ reports of a strong smell emanating out of the property.

The cause of death of the 43-year-woman and the 60-year-old man is as yet unknown and will have to be determined by an autopsy, according to Spanish media reports.

La Carolina Mayor Yolanda Reche said the whole town was “dismayed” at what had happened, adding that the couple had been well-known, Spanish press reported.
