SIXTY-FIVE per cent of the Ensanche Levante development area is reserved for public use. The Agrupacion de Interes Urbanistico associastion have presented Benidorm mayor, Toni Perez, and Urban Development councillor, Lourdes Caselles, with a preliminary document outlining their plans for Benidorm’s unbuilt but rundown Armanello district. Approximately 370,000 square metres will be set aside for green spaces, roads, buildings destined for educational and healthcare use, infrastructure and services. The remaining 205,000 square metres will be used to build residential and tourist properties as well as hotels.
