A VIDEO doing the rounds on social media of a group of surfers mucking around on a seafront promenade battered by seven-metre waves in Zarautz in the Basue country prompts the question was their behaviour just good fun or reckless.
Several of the young men prance about on a breakwater as giant waves smash over it, taking selfies while egged on by their mates to jump into the roaring seas.
The video then shows a wall of water hurling one of the surfers into the water and then crashing against the promenade wall much to the enormous amusement of his chums.
Eventually the laughing friends throw a surfboard down to their mates being churned around in the current so they can get to safety.
The area was on an orange weather alert at the time.
