HUNDREDS of jellyfish have flooded the promenade of Port d’Andratx in Mallorca, Spain on Saturday morning (November 23), surprising residents in the municipality. We at Euro Weekly News understand that this is the second large discovery of the jellyfish in recent weeks, with the species first being seen in the region on November 15. The unusual sighting is attributed to adverse weather conditions and strong waves in the region, which has resulted in the jellyfish being swept onto the walkway. Residents in the area have shared photos and videos of the jellyfish on social media, remarking that they had never seen so many stranded along the shoreline and on the first line of pavements.
