Costa del Sol News: Benalmadena beer

Growing family business: Craft beer bar. CREDIT: Facebook

TWO years ago Juan Manuel González embarked on an idea for a family business to produce his own craft beer and from that La Caravana was born, a bar in the heart of Arroyo de la Miel that would end up becoming a meeting point artisanal beer fans.  Carramolo, is the first beer of the Benalhop brand, “The first beer we have launched is a lager that has fresh touches, which does not carry corn but barley, less filtered, cleaner and rich in flavor,” González explains.

In total 1,200 litres have been produced in this first batch, 160 boxes of which a third have already been distributed in just two weeks since its presentation. “We have created our own brand for Benalmádena, such as Gaitanejo in Ardales, and the idea is to sell only here.”
