CHILDREN at the Sierra Almagrera school in Villaricos have managed to collect €700 for a children’s cancer charity from a fun, fundraising race.
More than 200 kids took part in the race today Thursday to do their bit to help the ARGAR Almeria Association of Parents of Children with Cancer.
Cuevas del Almanzora Education councillor Ana Maria Castro was there to cheer on the youngsters, commenting on the “major participation in these kinds of actions among Cuevas schoolchildren, teachers and parents, who are fully involved in this activity of solidarity.”
The school has been organising the races in aid of a good cause in the region for a number of years.
