A Columnist Dedicated to Helping Others in Spain

Dione Lockyer

Dear Readers,

I am super excited to be here to welcome you to my new column covering topics surrounding Life Coaching and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I was a 41-year-old mum and wife who suffered some very dark times, I decided that it was time to heal my wounds and start living life rather than just exist.

After reading many self-development books such as; you are a badass, The universe has your back, The Secret, and studying Life Coaching and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy I found that there was light at the end of the tunnel.
At first, this was purely for selfish reasons, it was time for me. As I progressed, I noticed that there were others that were in either the same or similar situations, and it was in that moment I knew I had to help.

I started off small, offering my services to a few wonderful clients who have since become great friends. To witness their light bulb moments and watch them heal before my eyes gave me such a warm sense of gratitude. I continued with further courses and begun to grow my business.

After recent events in the media regarding the beautiful Caroline Flack, I felt I needed to do more. The news of her death reminded me that mental health is still a major issue that needs to be addressed and I knew I had to speak out!

So, here I am! Ready to serve you!

Each week I will be covering different thoughts, feelings and behaviours that all of us witness at some point in our lives and will be sharing techniques of how you can overcome them. I will also be offering a free drop-in centre every Monday 09:30 – 14:00 at the Euro Weekly Head Office in Fuengirola as well as my one to one and group session courses.

If you ever feel that you need support, an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on or if you have a question that you’re happy to be answered in the column, then please contact me at coachingwithdione@gmail.com. I hope you enjoy reading my column
