PM Boris Johnson has praised medics who he said saved his life.
He showed appreciation by clapping his medics just two hours after being moved from intensive care to a normal ward at St Thomas’ Hospital.
Boris told friends the care he had received “exemplary” care adding “I owe them my life.”
The 55-year-old left ICU on Thursday evening, waving at medical staff as he made his way out.
The coronavirus death toll rose by 917 died today, including a child of 11 and a 102-year-old, taking the UK’s coronavirus total to 9,875.
