CYCLING is a popular sport in Spain attracting many serious riders and competitions are watched by large crowds so the cancellation of the annual 101 kilometre Legion of Ronda event due to the State of Alarm has disappointed many.

The Manilva Cycling Club however has arranged for a virtual race to take place on Saturday May 9 with cyclists participating from static bikes at home via the Bkool platform.

Four virtual sections have been prepared and follow the normal real time course with sectors running between Ronda and Arriate (30.1 km), Arriate and Setenil (30.1 km), Setenil and Montejaque (28.6 km) and  Montejaque and Ronda (16.9 km ).

This will be broadcast on the YouTube channel Chitoronda for those who wish to watch and registration for those who want to take part is free at the Manilva Cycling Club website or Facebook: ccmanilva.com/101.
