Capdepera introducing smart skips for residents’ rubbish disposal

CAPDEPERA council is introducing smart skips for residents’ rubbish disposal.

The latest generation trash containers have a digital opening system operated by a personalised card and are powered by a small solar panel, which provides the necessary electricity without having to connect to the power supply.

The local authority is in the process of giving out the cards needed to open up the skips to residents.

The Capdepera administration has plans to introduce the same system to gain access to a green point for the disposal of all kinds of waste.
