SOCIALLY DISTANCED: Denia Rock Choir were delighted to sing together again Photo credit: Denia Rock Choir

SATURDAY October 17 was World Singing Day and the chosen song was What a Wonderful World.
This was also wonderful reason for the Denia Rock Choir (DCR) to get together for the first time since the March lockdown in Basetes park, where they were able to use the steps for perfect social distancing.
Meeting at 10am, they sang under direction of Claire Lowe, Kate Spelling told the Euro Weekly News.
They also had an unsuspecting audience of a fitness class who were very hard at work but took time out to applaud the singers.
“It was amazing to think that all round the world, people were singing the same song at the same time,” Kate said.
“What joy it brought DRC members to get together again and sing! We are hoping that it can become a regular thing, rules and weather permitting,” she added.
