EVERTON goalkeeper Robin Olsen and family targeted by gang with machetes at the family’s Manchester home.
Robin Olsen, Premier league player for Everton has allegedly seen his home targeted by machete wielding thugs. The goalkeeper is currently on loan to the club and is believed to have been targeted on Saturday night at the family’s home in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
Luckily though it is thought that no one has been injured even though at the time of the incident the 31-year-old goalkeeper along with his wife and their two young children had been at home. Reportedly though the machete wielding raiders were able to make off from the house with valuables which included a watch and jewellery.
The family are said to be receiving “as much support as is possible” from Everton after the horrific ordeal that the family have suffered.
This has not been the only home attack as only last month Carlo Ancelotti, Everton manager saw his home in Crosby targeted. This time though a safe was stolen from the property.
According to reports at the time of the burglary Ancelotti’s daughter had been on her own at the property and disturbed two men as they burgled the family home.
Olsen only joined Everton at the start of the season when he came from the Italian club Roma. The loan is expected to last for one season.
