Culinary journeys accompanied by local Spanish wine, beer and live music at No-Mad Albir

When Mike Munier, owner of No-Mad in Albir, opened in summer 2022 alongside his second-in-command Pico, he wanted to create a space that was friendly, modern, and known for its good food accompanied with great wines and beers.

Having already worked in restaurants in Albir for 10 years, and coming from a family of experienced restauranteurs, Mike´s hard work paid off and No-Mad is now one of the hottest spots in Albir to enjoy fresh and healthy food as well as mouth-watering cocktails, Spanish wines and golden beers.

What is the food like at No-Mad Albir?

Combining a chic yet welcoming design with impressive levels of customer service from its team, the restaurant is already respected for its international menu and high-quality food. Offering dishes from all over the world, No-Mad is the place to go for those looking for a seriously good meal, from its speciality of Mexican tacos to its meat dishes. In addition to its Mexican and international dishes, No-Mad also serves up tapas and pasta, as well as some healthy options, including its poke bowls and gourmet salads.

We spoke to No-Mad Albir owner, Mike, about the food: “We are an international restaurant with all kinds of food for everyone! We get a lot of foreigners, Norwegian, Dutch English also Spanish, so our menu has typical Dutch food dedicated to them, as well as salads, poke bowls, meat, fish, 26 different plates, and tapas.”

What refreshing drinks does No-Mad Albir serve?

We can´t talk about food without talking about drinks, and No-Mad Albir has an excellent selection! Their dishes are accompanied by a wide selection of wines, many of them from the region, made with grapes and processes as innovative as their dishes.

Their crafty cocktails are perfect for sipping on while soaking up the atmosphere on their sunny terrace or enjoying their live music, with classics such as espresso martinis, mojitos and fruity frozen ones on the menu.

For beer lovers, No-Mad has got you covered with their wide selection of cold bottles on offer – the perfect treat after a long day.

Not much of a drinker? Don´t worry, No-Mad has a great selection of soft drinks to quench your thirst!

Speaking of alcohol-free drinks, No-Mad Albir also serves fantastic fruity smoothies to start your day or to help you cool down under the blazing Costa Blanca sun!

Mike said of the drinks served at Nomad: “We have wines from the Alicante region as well as cocktails. Our main focus is to cater to everyone, some of the people who come in are more sophisticated and want to enjoy the night and evening in a sophisticated atmosphere, which is something No-Mad offers.”

“We also have lots of special beers and Belgium beers to enjoy!”

Events and live music at No-Mad Albir

As well as their fresh and colourful dishes, No-Mad also has great live music performances where you can enjoy your meal or some drinks with their singer providing you with an unforgettable show! 

Through the summer and autumn, the incredible Mei de la Cruz has been performing on a weekly basis at No-Mad, treating customers to her smooth Spanish sounds and relaxing voice. From balmy evenings on their bright terrace sipping a fruity cocktail, Mei de la Cruz will be performing on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day while customers can enjoy No-Mad´s delicious Christmas menu including suckling lamb chops, grilled turbot, cured meats and Dutch apple pie.

Football fans have been able to celebrate this year´s World Cup at No-Mad, with all games broadcast live between November 20 and December 18! Customers have been pouring in to the restaurant to enjoy their large drinks menu and delicious international dishes while watching their favourite teams.

Its location is also one of No-Mad´s biggest draws, situated on the busy Avenida del Albir with its buzzing atmosphere.
