The Costa del Sol’s historical distinction as a benchmark for the most luxurious residential developments is being maintained and strengthened. In addition to the million-dollar mansions and high-end developments that continue to proliferate, it now includes Europe’s highest concentration of so-called ‘branded residences’.

The provinces of Malaga and Cadiz are home to nine branded developments including: Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi Casa, Four Seasons, Karl Lagerfeld and Lamborghini.

Residential property that, in addition to the premium nature of its construction and services, adds the value that comes from being linked to renowned brands in the luxury sector. And this means that there are properties with a price tag to match; up to €20 million.

Projects are already taking shape in Marbella and Benahavís and, according to information from Savills Global Residential Development Consultancy, the Costa del Sol is the region in Europe, “with the highest number of branded residence projects”. All of these are linked to top level brands and the first development to be completed is expected to be EPIC by Fendi Casa.

“Worldwide, this type of property has experienced a growth of more than 160 per cent over the last decade, with a turnover of more than €30 billion”, say Savills and pointed to Spain as one of the countries with the greatest potential for the development of this type of project in Europe, mainly in the Costa del Sol.
