One of the Costa del Sol’s most lively, beloved annual events is back, and this year it comes with a big anniversary. The Fuengirola Feria Internacional de los Paises, known as FIP, returns from Wednesday, April 29 to Sunday, May 3, celebrating its 30th edition with 33 countries, more than 1,500 parade participants and, as always, free entry, food and fun for all.

Now in its third decade, the fair also known as Feria de los Pueblos has grown from a modest gathering into one of the most distinctive events for Fuengirola. The event is simple but effective, each participating country is given a decorated stand at the fairground to showcase its food, drink, music, traditional dress and culture, giving everyone the chance to travel the world without leaving the province.

The exciting, food filled event hosts 33 different cultures for visitors to explore and enjoy

Just a few of this year’s confirmed participating nations are Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba and many, many more, all spread across the fairground site and open daily from 12pm until the early hours of 2am.

One of the highlights of the fair is the grand opening parade, taking place on Friday, May 1, which is a public holiday, starting at 11:30am from Plaza de España. More than 1,500 representatives from all countries taking part will march through the streets of Fuengirola alongside 30 decorated vehicles, in a spectacle of colour, costume and music.

The fair covers a large area so comfortable shoes are advised to get the most out of the day

The five-day event is jam packed with live performances, folk dancing, cultural exhibitions and, perhaps most importantly for many visitors, delicious food and drink from around the world. You can sample Cuban rum, Brazilian barbecue, Belgian waffles or Argentine empanadas, the list is endless.

Entry to the fairground and all performances is completely free, making it a fantastic day out for everyone. Organisers advise wearing comfortable shoes as the site is large.

FIP 2026 runs from Wednesday, April 29 to Sunday, May 3 at the Fuengirola fairgrounds. Open daily from 12pm to 2am. The live Fuengirola app can help with navigation and the daily programme.
