Local charity ADIMI Mijas is opening its doors for a lively new community event on Saturday, June 20 to raise vital funds for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Who is ADIMI Mijas?

Founded in 1999 by a group of local parents, ADIMI Mijas is a registered non-profit that provides specialist care, therapy, education programmes and daily support to 25 full-time residents and more than 500 children and adults who attend the centre each month. Based in Mijas, the organisation offers early intervention, occupational activities, psychological support and residential care for families across the Costa del Sol. Its long-term goal is to improve quality of life and prepare users for greater independence when their families are no longer able to provide primary care.

Diabetes Support Group joins the cause

Diabetes volunteers will be on site offering information and free advice. The same group recently set a record by encouraging 50 people to get tested at the La Cala Lions fashion show.

Long-time La Cala resident Roger Wedge, who has helped raise thousands of euros for ADIMI over the past 20 years, has coordinated local businesses and supporters to bring this special midsummer gathering to life.

Everyone welcome

Come along, enjoy the afternoon and help support life-changing care for local families. Whether you browse the stalls, enjoy the entertainment, or simply grab a drink and chat, your presence makes all the difference.

For stall bookings, donations, media enquiries or to offer help on the day, please contact Anne on 607 879 450.

This first Midsummer Day Party & Fair is a wonderful opportunity for the whole community to come together and support a charity that transforms lives every single day through professional, compassionate care.
