Football fans, music lovers, holidaymakers, and local residents have a massive date diary entry this weekend. Santa Pola has confirmed it will combine sporting drama with live music entertainment for a free unforgettable Sunday evening.
Spain to battle it out with Argentina
England fans bitter disappointment may still be raw, but even so, many expats are now leaving that all behind in support of Spain. As the Spanish team get in the zone to face off against Argentina in a huge show down final on July 19, resorts around the country are preparing to show the match live. Playa Varadero is hosting a giant screen broadcasting the 2026 World Cup final live. Families, tourists, and locals wanting a lively energy filled public space to watch the battle can gather at the Vatasa parking area. Entry is entirely free, making it an excellent budget-friendly choice for groups looking to share the tension and excitement of the match.
Live concerts to follow the football
Following the match, the venue transforms into the LOS40 Summer Live 2026 concert stage. National pop and urban acts including Nil Moliner, Ruslana, Lala Love You, and Walls will perform. Other confirmed artists taking the stage include Adexe & Nau, Daniela Blasco, Lola Tuduri, La Beba, Cesar AC, and Pikete. Oscar Martinez, Karin Herrero, and Cristina Bosca are ready and prepped and ready to host the musical festivities.
Important travel and planning advice
Gates open early at 8pm to accommodate the expected large crowds, with an official pre-show starting at 8:30pm. Anyone planning to attend or be around the beach at this time should prepare for the Playa Varadero area to become extremely busy from the early evening. Space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until full capacity is reached. Arriving early is strongly advised to find a good viewing spot and avoid traffic congestion around the beach. Local traffic is expected to build up quickly, meaning public transport or walking is highly recommended for those staying nearby.
For a full evening showing of unforgettable football and free live music, head to Playa Varadero Sunday, July 19 for 8pm or earlier if you want to grab the best spots. Let’s see if Spain can take the crown.
