115 golfers celebrate 15 years of unforgettable moments at Las Colinas

Friendships, competition and memories were the aim of the game during a special anniversary event at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club

15th Anniversary tournament brings golfers together

Passion for golf, community and reminiscing were at the heart of a memorable day at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club in Orihuela Costa, where 115 players gathered to celebrate the resort’s incredible 15th anniversary.

Held on Saturday, August 1, the anniversary tournament attracted golfers from across the region for a competition played under the Individual Stableford format. Excitement was high throughout the day as participants battled for top honours. After a closely fought contest, Lurii Freidinov claimed victory in the First Category, while Eric Favre secured first place in the Second Category. Guillermo Peña Colmenarejo completed the winners’ line-up by taking top spot in the Third Category.

Competition wasn’t the only focus of the day. Guests and players enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere synonymous with Las Colinas, reconnected, shared stories and celebrated a milestone at one of Spain’s most respected golf destinations.

More than a golf competition

Celebrations continued after play had finished, with participants gathering on the terrace of the resort’s Unik restaurant. Good food and conversation created a day that reflected the values on which Las Colinas was founded fifteen years ago. A prize presentation and raffle gave attendees even more reasons to remember the occasion. Javier Rodriguez, Operations Director at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, expressed with warmth his delight at the response from players.

“We wanted this year’s traditional August 1 tournament to carry even greater meaning by making it part of our 15th anniversary celebrations. The response from players exceeded our expectations and once again confirms the strong connection between Las Colinas and its golfing community,” he said.
