Supercross Championships return for another thrilling summer spectacle

Excitement is revving up in Cuevas del Almanzora as motorbike enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies begin to arrive for the highly anticipated Supercross Championships 2026. The spectacular night-time event will once again bring the thunder of powerful engines, gravity-defying jumps and some of the most skilled riders in the sport to the Rincon de la Bonil Permanent Circuit on August 8.

On August 8, the loud roar of engines and awe-struck gasps of the audience will fill the air. Audiences will get a chance to see some of the best national and international talent currently competing on a night defined by high speeds, sharp turns and crazy stunts.

Supercross Championships promise unforgettable summer entertainment

Various different categories will compete throughout the night, giving first-timers and long-time fans a chance to experience the different techniques and tricks that make this event so popular. From young riders taking their first steps in competition to experienced racers pushing their limits, the event offers a showcase of skill, courage and determination. The 2026 programme will also include the SX50 category, highlighting some of the sport’s youngest future stars as they take to the track.

Organised by the Motoclub Bajo Almanzora, the Supercross Championships returns to Cuevas del Almanzora year after year. It has become a staple of the summer calendar, and never fails to attract thousands of spectators, whose passion and enthusiasm for the sport creates a lively atmosphere.

The event has continued to grow in popularity, with previous editions helping establish Cuevas del Almanzora as an important destination for supercross fans. Following the success of earlier years, including a sold-out 2025 edition, organisers are preparing another major spectacle for 2026, with more than €20,000 in prizes available for competing riders.

A thrilling night of motocross 

More than just a race, the Supercross Championships offer a complete experience for spectators. The combination of a professional circuit, talented riders and an electric crowd creates an atmosphere that keeps fans returning every summer. The skill involved in mastering the jumps, corners and intense battles on the track makes every race unpredictable and exciting.

From the moment doors open at 7.30pm it’ll be a flurry of movement as people find their seats, and stock up on snacks ready for the high-speed action to begin at 9.00pm. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to make access easier and enjoy the build-up before the competition gets underway.

Last minute tickets are still available, ranging in price from €13 for a children’s ticket, to €26.50 for general admission. With national and international riders, spectacular racing and the unmistakable energy of a packed crowd, Supercross Cuevas del Almanzora 2026 is set to be one of the standout sporting events of the summer.
