Teulada-Moraira is preparing to go back in time for a night of peace, love, and hit vintage tunes at the Flower Power Party, set on the atmospheric esplanade beside Moraira Castle. Doors will open at 8:00pm and the celebration will run until 3:00am, giving guests a full evening, from golden-hour views over the Mediterranean to groovy dancing under the stars.
Retro hits under the Mediterranean sky
True to its name, the party is a full-throttle tribute to the sounds of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with talented local favourite Toño DJ behind the decks spinning classics that promise to fill the night air with flower crowns, tie-dye, and plenty of nostalgia. Attendees can experience an eclectic, feel-good soundtrack built for singing along and dancing barefoot in the summer air, the kind of set that bridges generations, appealing both to those who lived through the originals and younger visitors discovering them for the first time in equal measure.
Dancing for a vital community cause: Helping those with cancer in Teulada-Moraira
Not only will the event be a fun and community-led way to experience these golden eras for music, the Flower Power Party will also have a charitable spirit behind it. The event will act as a fundraiser, with proceeds going to the Junta Vecinal Cap D’Or Moraira in support of the Asociación Teulada Moraira Contra el Cáncer, the town’s association dedicated to helping those in the community affected by cancer. Residents and visitors to Teulada-Moraira can enjoy the event knowing that every ticket, drink, or donation on the night directly supports local families navigating cancer.
An iconic coastal backdrop for a retro night
The setting itself is part of the draw. The Explanada del Castillo, right beside Moraira’s historic seafront fortification, offers one of the most scenic backdrops in town, framed by the sea and the old town’s stone walls. As dusk falls over the castle, the space transforms into an open-air dance floor, blending Moraira’s rich heritage with a joyfully retro night out.
Event details and what to expect: How to participate in the groovy Flower Power Party
Whether you’re a long-time Costa Blanca local or visiting this summer for the first time and looking for something beyond the usual beach-bar scene, the Flower Power Party offers a rare combination: a fun night of throwback music, a beautiful historic venue, and a chance to give back to a cause that matters deeply to the community.
The show will run from 8:00pm to 03:00am on Saturday, August 15, at the esplanade del Castillo in Moraira, with Toño DJ providing the 60s, 70s, and 80s soundtrack for a cause supporting the Asociación Teulada Moraira Contra el Cáncer.
