Torremolinos is lacing up and preparing once again to host the annual “Marea Rosa” (Pink Wave) charity walk on Sunday, November 8, following a date change from its original schedule. Organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), this non-competitive 4.4-kilometre event brings the community together to raise money for vital medical research under the slogan ‘Together we are stronger, every step counts’.

Gather your crew, slap on some pink and join expats, local residents, and visitors of all fitness levels to participate in this uplifting morning dedicated to cancer awareness and support.

Route details and special guest group parades

Walkers will set off at 10am from Avenida Marife de Triana. Route participants wind through town towards the finish line at Plaza del Remo in La Carihuela, arriving around 2pm.

Adding extra colour and energy to the 4.4km route, several local groups are joining the procession alongside walkers:

CBS Club de Remo Torremolinos: Rowers accompany the walk along the coastal stretch with their traditional jabega.
Club Komando Amimoto: Local motorcycle enthusiasts will roar along in convoy.
Asociacion de Coches Clasicos: Classic car owners showcase their impressive vehicles along the route.

Reaching Plaza del Remo ends with a lively finish-line celebration featuring live music and dancing for everyone to enjoy.

How to register and contribute

Registration costs €10 per person, with proceeds going directly to cancer research projects managed by the AECC. Entry covers both your official bib and commemorative t-shirt.
