THE Nerja photographic competition – Building Equality for All – was created to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, and is open to all nationalities. ‘With your participation, a future of equality in Nerja’ is the theme given for the photographs which must show a society with balanced participation of both men and women and purge traditional views of the sexes.
The winner will receive a prize of €300, second place €200 and third €100. The competition is open to anybody over the age of 16, and resident in Andalucia.
No collages or montages are allowed and photo manipulation is limited to basic settings including saturation levels, angle or rotation. They should be on normal photographic paper between the sizes of 20×30 and 40×50 centimetres.
Five photos submissions are allowed per contestant and each one should have a title and placed in a sealed envelope with the authors name, address, telephone number and email on it.
They can either be cent by registered mail, couriered or delivered in person to the Municipal Centre of Information for Women in Calle Carmen.
Submission deadline is Thursday March 31.
