CAFE DEL MAR, situated on the exclusive terraces of Rada de Moraira, was the setting for the latest MABS three prong initiative in fund raising.
The event cleverly combined the launch of their new 2012 calendar together with a fashion show and lunch.
After a Nouvelle Cuisine meal, during which MABS President, Jacqueline Phillips MBE officially launched the new calendar and thanked everyone for supporting the event, guests retired to the restaurants large comfortable lounge bar to relax over a coffee and liqueur for a fashion show organised by Xada Designs from the Outlet Boutique.
Compered by co-organiser Sherry Fraser-Currie, five models strutted their stuff around the lounge in an exciting variety of designs with labels from Dolce & Gabbana and MaxMara, accompanied by suitable mood music and bursts of appreciative applause.
At the end of the event, Jacqueline Phillips announced that the event had raised over €500 and thanked the various sponsors that made the day possible.
They included Iceland, SR Print and Design, Securistore, Female Focus, Sol Par Centre. MABS calendars are available for purchase at all MABS Charity shops and online through: www.mabscancersupport.org
