More promotion for the Cueva de Nerja

THE President of the Cueva de Nerja Foundation, Jorge Hernandez, announced plans to increase public promotion in the cultural and tourism sectors.

Now that Angel Ruiz has taken over the management of the caves, Hernandez says that although the budget for promotion will be adjusted, a quality promotion of the caves will be carried out.

The International Music and Dance Festival will be held in the Cueva de Nerja from July 17 to 21, the Vice-President of the Foundation and local mayor, Jose Alberto Armijo confirmed.

This month, Malaga Provincial Government will hold the First Provincial Day on April 26 in the Cueva de Nerja, the president, Elias Bendodo, announced.

“Nerja is one of the Costa del Sol’s main towns, which should be at the head of the province’s evolution” Bendodo said.

The Provincial Government will give Gold Medals to four people and institutions at the event for their work and commitment to Malaga.

They include Velez-born former footballer, Fernando Hierro; the widow of Juan Temboury, Maria Victoria Villarejo; the Santa Maria de la Victoria Teaching Foundation and the former provincial government secretary, Juan Marquez.
