A CARER accused of sedating babies at a kindergarten in Vigo denies having given them tranquilisers.
The woman, who was a carer at La Camelia kindergarten is accused of giving the children, all aged under one year old, Trankimazin, which resulting in their intoxication.
The public prosecution is asking for 14 years in prison.
However, she says that she had taken pills which were missing from packages found in her home herself because her doctor had prescribed them.
She is currently on trial in and claimed to have a normal relationship with her colleagues and said the manager at the kindergarten had an obsession with children crying.
The manager said that the woman had worked for several other kindergartens and that there were no cause for alarm in her references.
