50 people evacuated in Manilva Fire

RESIDENTS of Las Brisas II Urbanization in Manilva were evacuated when a fire broke out in the area.

The Malaga Provincial Fire Consortium reports that 50 people were evacuated as a precautionary measure from 20 houses on the urbanization.

Fire hectares of land in El Hacho area were destroyed and four the outside pergolas on the terraces of four houses were damaged.

A resident of the area, Peter Broadis, reported that two helicopters scooped water from the lake on the nearby Duquesa Golf Course and that the flames were extinguished within two hours.
