Eat oily fish to avoid winter colds
THE best way for sportsmen to avoid getting a cold is by reinforcing the immune system.
One way of doing that is to eat fish like salmon or tuna which contain fats that can help boost it.
While practising outdoors sports, people should be careful with winter colds. Getting cold after training could be enough to cause a chill.
The best way to avoid this is with the body’s own defences. Regular consumption of blue fish like salmon, tuna, sardines or swordfish will help activate natural cells that eliminate germs.
In a recent study conducted in the United Kingdom, it was discovered that people who consumed fish oil vitamins everyday for six weeks showed more immunological activity after training that those who were given a placebo.
