LOS MONTESINOS BY NIGHT: No police surveillance
The coalition of Esquerra Unida and the United Workers League (EU-LUT) have complained that the lakeside town near Torrevieja does not have the services of police officers from 10pm-6am.
Alfonso Paredes said the situation has been caused by the departure of two staff on secondment to other municipalities, but urged the mayor to carry out the “immediate” implementation of the selection process.
Currently, the population of over 5,000 people in Los Montesinos receive an automated message when they call the Local Police station after 10pm, directing them to call the Guardia Civil on 062 or to leave a message.
