False credit: cards were used to buy goods.
National police in Velez-Malaga have detained two men, 38 and 28, for the falsification of documents and fraud.
The two men were falsifying documents with which they then obtained credit cards which they used in local shops.
A local business owner got in touch with the police to warn them about what was happening so they could investigate; on giving in the credit card returns the owner noticed that the details given did not coincide with the documentation.
During the course of their inquiries the police easily located the alleged criminals as they were already under suspicion of trying the scam on two previous occasions.
Once their identities were confirmed they were immediately arrested just outside a shop where they were trying to get more false credit.
Once detained the police searched their residences and found a 42 inch television, a games console and a lot of false documentation; the goods were returned to the business from which they were illegally taken.
