Spain top for hen parties

FOR a place to enjoy a last hurrah with the girls before getting hitched, UK brides-to-be can’t get enough of sunny Spain.

Marbella, Mallorca and Barcelona have topped the list as the favourite destinations for hens to party the night away and let their hair down before walking down the aisle.  

The three Spanish destinations are renowned as party hotspots, and UK hens have named them as the best places to enjoy a hen do in a poll carried out by Red7, a hen and stag party company.

In contrast, naughty UK stags prefer to hit the bars and clubs of Riga, Amsterdam and Prague, well-known for their strip clubs and red light districts.

“Many brides-and-grooms-to-be travel a considerable distance for their perfect hen or stag do,” said Viki Sanders of Red7. In the search for the ‘perfect send-off,’ hens and stags are now prepared to travel further afield than England, she added. Brighton, London and Edinburgh are the top three UK destinations for pre-wedding partying, but Spain is the firm favourite with sun-seeking, party-loving hens.
